I’m in the process of building a permanent base station at home. My plan was pi4 powered by Poe hat hooked to the Mosaic x5 breakout. Then I got to thinking, if I’m using a pi why don’t I buy the Mosaic x5 phat and just stack everything on the pi. My biggest question is can the POE run everything. So I’ll have the pie for the POE hat stacked with a mosaic hat. Any input is great!

Welcome Thouser1! This forum is generally for [SparkPNT products](https://www.sparkpnt.com/), not the SparkFun products but I know it’s confusing.

Yes! But it depends on your PoE module. Most will handle a few 10s of watts. The Ras Pi 4 is 3 to 7W + 1W for the mosaic-X5. As long as your PoE can do ~10W I think you’ll be fine.

Thank you for the reply. I was trying to figure out the watts myself and that helps.
