I am trying to install new firmware and update settings on my recently acquired SparkPnt FPM-T, however, I was following the Configuration | SparkPNT FPM-T Product Manual , and after turning on the CONFIG, I went to my available internet options to connect, and it did not show up. I am unsure why it has happened. I checked on my Android phone and tablet; both have up-to-date Android versions. Is there any known glitch with it? I need to update the firmware, but I am not sure how.
I did try to connect via USB-C cable; however, after installing the driver, it required an admin and password, and I was not able to overcome it to try to update the firmware.
To configure the device, the FPx series broadcasts a WiFi network at 2.4GHz. I know iOS devices like to filter out 2.4GHz networks. Perhaps newer Android tablets/phones are doing something similar and filtering out the “RTK Config” wifi network? Not sure.
As for logging into the mosaic module itself, you generally don’t need to log into that interface or configure it. You are welcome to, and the credentials and steps to do so are here, but the FPM has a controller (an ESP32) inside that configures the mosaic receiver based on the user’s settings. If you configure the mosaic receiver directly, there is a good chance the device’s main controller will overwrite any settings you may change.
It was showing the display above with my reference number during my attempts, but to my surprise, I tried again, and it showed up on my wifi ; maybe it was the factory reset that Codex did for me.
