I received a USER NAME and PASSWORD (login credentials) via email yesterday for my Spark PointPerfect Subscription. I am trying without succes to create a NTRIP Client to access the PointPerfect Correction Service in SW Maps on an Android Tablet. The NTRIP Client I set up for the WVRTN is still working and I am obtaining an RTK Fixed Position using that connection. I am able to load a rather long list of single mount points from the rtk2go.com NTRIP address. The TX2 Receiver Configuration File listed the Mount Point as: bldr_SparkFun1
I selected that mount point and when I try to connect, I am instantly kicked out. What mount point should I be choosing?
Randy, I use Point Perfect every day, but not through Sparkfun. So my assumptions might be a little off, but will hopefully get you close.
The bldr_SparkFun1 is a default mountpoint in the RTK Everywhere FW for the SparkFun headquarters. That makes me think you are using the built-in NTRIP client in the TX2 (don’t do that unless you have to).
My expectations is your received an email with an address, Username, and Password from Sparkfun for PointPerfect (PP).
In SW Maps, add a new correction source (use the + button in the NTRIP Client) for PP. The mountpoint will probably be “Near-RTCM”.
Then you will have both NTRIP setups available (PP and WVRTN) in SW Maps, and can move between them easily.
Enable/Transmit GGA: Please confirm this option is selected in the NTRIP Client
If needed, here is a step by step guide. These credentials should work anywhere in the contiguous 48-states and Europe. See the coverage map for specifics. Let us know if you still run into issues.
